Turn a mind map into a document
- 1Import
Tap the add button and choose an XMind file from Files.
- 2Choose a format
Select Word, Excel, Markdown, or plain text.
- 3Export
Open the result immediately or find it later in the Files app.
Files and privacy
Your documents stay under your control
File location
Open Files, choose On My iPhone or On My iPad, then open Mind Exporter. Imported and exported files are organized in separate folders.
Document privacy
Mind map parsing and document generation happen on your device. Your imported map contents are not uploaded to our servers.

Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I import an XMind file?
Confirm that the file has an .xmind extension and opens normally in XMind. If the file is stored in a cloud provider, download it in Files before trying again.
Where is my exported file?
Tap the export record in Mind Exporter to preview or open it. You can also browse to Files > On My iPhone or On My iPad > Mind Exporter > Exports.
How do I restore my lifetime unlock?
Open the unlock screen from the crown button and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that originally purchased the lifetime unlock.
What should I include when reporting a problem?
Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, the selected export format, and a short description of what happened. Do not send confidential mind maps unless they are necessary to reproduce the issue.
